Astronaut Tim Peake plays Mars Horizon

On Monday ESA astronaut Tim Peake was live on Twitch with the Xbox team streaming their new space agency simulation strategy game, Mars Horizon. Tim was test-flying the game to celebrate its launch this week. It’s the first game of its kind to place you at the head of a space agency and gives you the chance to change history—or repeat it—as you take command at the dawn of the space race. Instead of waging war, you’ll guide your chosen country to space, the moon and beyond—with sights on the ultimate goal: the red planet.

Mars Horizon was created with support from the European Space Agency (ESA) and the UK Space Agency so naturally, they were thrilled to have a real life astronaut playing the game!
