Success for Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend

Dick & Angel's brand new show Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend premiered on Channel 4 on Thursday 30th July, and kicked off to a great start with ratings of 1.8 million, and rave reviews from the viewing public and TV industry.

Filmed during lockdown, the show sees everyone’s favourite TV couple offering tips and tricks to families looking for imaginative ways to solve their DIY dilemmas using what they have to hand.

Broadcast reported that the show “comfortably outperformed the 1.1m slot average, becoming the most-watched show in the slot of the year so far”!

Dick and Angel say: “It’s humbling that our audience wants to see more of us and our adventures. Between the pair of us we have nearly a century’s worth of “make do and mend” experience.
